How it works
Tell us the seat you need filled
Which ticket, which truck, which town, and what a good first year looks like in your shop. We start from the job, not from a template.
We build the recruiting engine
Job ads written to your province's posting rules, a careers page you own with job-posting markup, a Job Bank listing and targeted hiring ads where techs actually scroll.
Measure applicants, then hires
Every applicant call, text and email is traced to the channel that produced it, so you stop paying for the ones that don't. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
Services
-
HVAC technician and installer job ads
Job ads that name the ticket, the truck, the schedule and the pay, written to the posting rules in your province.
-
Careers pages, Job Bank and job-posting markup
A careers section you own, one page per open role, with Google job-posting structured data and a matching Job Bank listing.
-
Apprentice pathway marketing
Recruit first-year apprentices by showing exactly how your shop gets them from sign-up to a refrigeration, gas or sheet metal ticket.
-
Paid recruiting campaigns
Targeted hiring ads on search and social that reach working technicians who are not reading job boards.
-
Crew referral and retention marketing
Turn the technicians you already have into your strongest recruiting channel, and keep them from being poached.
HVACJobs.ca is a recruiting marketing service for HVAC contractors in Canada. We help you hire service technicians, installers and apprentices by fixing what most shops get wrong: vague job ads, no careers page, no pay range, and no plan for reaching technicians who already have a job. We are not a job board, not a placement agency and not an HVAC contractor.
What recruiting marketing means for an HVAC shop
Recruiting marketing is the same discipline that fills your schedule with service calls, pointed at technicians instead of homeowners. It decides who you are trying to reach, writes a message that answers their real questions, and puts it where they will see it.
The difference is the audience. A homeowner with no heat will call the first company that answers. A licensed refrigeration mechanic with a steady job has to be persuaded to leave, and they are judging your ad on details a homeowner never thinks about:
- Which ticket do you need, and will you sponsor the next one?
- Is it service, install, or both? Residential, light commercial or industrial?
- Do they take a truck home? Who stocks it?
- What does on-call look like in January?
- What is the pay, stated plainly?
Most HVAC job ads answer none of these. That is why they draw people without tickets and miss the technicians you want. Our job ad service starts with these questions.
What we do, and what we never do
We build and run the marketing side of hiring; you keep every hiring decision. Here is the split:
| We do | We never do |
|---|---|
| Write job ads, careers pages and apprentice pathway pages | Host job listings or collect applications on this site |
| Add Google job-posting structured data to your own site | Screen, interview or place candidates |
| Set up and maintain your Job Bank employer listings | Recommend wage figures |
| Run paid hiring ads and referral campaigns | Give employment-law or immigration advice |
| Report on applicants and cost per hire by channel | Install, repair or service HVAC equipment |
The full list of services is on the services page. If you are unsure where to start, the guides explain the basics for free.
Why hiring is a marketing problem now
Every HVAC owner knows a missing technician costs real money, but few put a number on it. Try this with your own figures.
Say one service truck averages 18 billable calls a week and your average call is worth $380 in revenue. That truck produces about $6,840 a week. If the seat sits empty for 10 weeks while you wait for a job board to deliver, that is roughly $68,400 in revenue you could not book, before counting the overtime your other techs worked to cover it.
Against a number like that, spending properly on a hiring campaign stops looking like a luxury. It also makes clear why the ad itself matters: a job ad that brings two qualified applicants in week one is worth far more than one that brings forty unqualified ones in week six.
Canada-wide, province by province
Hiring rules, trade tickets and seasons change at every provincial border, so we plan each campaign around the province the job is in. BC requires a wage or salary range in public job ads. Ontario has its own posting rules for employers with 25 or more employees. Quebec ads need French. In Nova Scotia and PEI, oil heat still matters; in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, gas dominates.
Our areas page covers every province and territory, with a page for each region that explains the local tickets, regulators and hiring seasons.
Proof from our HVAC marketing work
Our track record comes from marketing HVAC companies to customers, and the same method drives recruiting. BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days, and HeatLand grew leads 300% in 6 months on the back of 850+ SEO articles. These are customer-lead results, not hiring results, and the results page explains honestly what carries over to recruiting and what does not.
Who is behind HVACJobs.ca
HVACJobs.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ali Sedighi, MBA, runs it. His marketing career started in 2007, and the HVAC side of it now counts 150+ live heating and cooling websites. The brand sits inside the HVAC.Agency family of HVAC marketing services, which is why our recruiting work is written by people who already know how a service department runs.
Three things to fix before you spend a dollar on hiring ads
Most HVAC shops can improve their applicant flow this week without paying anyone. Start here:
- Put the pay in the ad. In BC it is already required for public postings, and in Ontario it is required for employers with 25 or more employees. Everywhere else, ads with pay simply get more serious replies.
- Name the ticket. "HVAC tech wanted" draws everyone. "Gasfitter Class B, residential service, take-home truck" draws the person you need.
- Answer the phone. Many techs call or text instead of applying online. If an applicant's call goes to voicemail at 4:30 on a Friday, a competitor gets them on Monday.
The job ad guide walks through each of these in detail.

Frequently asked questions
Is HVACJobs.ca a job board?
No. There are no job listings on this site and nowhere to apply. HVACJobs.ca is a marketing service: we help HVAC contractors attract applicants to their own careers pages, phone lines and inboxes.
Are you a staffing or placement agency?
No. We don't screen, place or employ anyone, and we don't charge per hire. You interview and hire your own people; we do the marketing that puts qualified technicians in front of you.
Do you install or service HVAC equipment?
No. We are a digital marketing and business consulting service for HVAC companies. We don't install, repair or service any equipment, and we don't compete with our clients for work or for workers.
Which roles do you help HVAC companies recruit for?
Residential and commercial service technicians, installers, refrigeration mechanics, gasfitters, sheet metal workers, oil heat technicians and first-year apprentices. We also help with dispatcher and coordinator roles when they sit inside an HVAC shop.
Will you tell us what to pay?
No. We don't publish or recommend wage figures. You set the pay; we make sure the ad states it the way your province's posting rules expect, and we present the rest of your offer clearly.
How fast can a hiring campaign go live?
A first job ad and Job Bank listing can usually go up within the first week or two once you confirm the role details. A full careers section with structured data typically takes two to four weeks.
